In Trostianets, Sumy region, columns of enemy equipment appeared already on the first day of the war - February 24. During the month of occupation, Russian soldiers destroyed enterprises, hospitals, schools, kindergartens and residential buildings in the town. The family of railway worker Oleksandr is among those people, who were left without a roof over their heads. He, his wife Tetiana, who also works at Ukrzaliznytsia as a cashier, and their daughter, a student studying at the university on a paid basis, lost their only home, all furniture, appliances, and even clothes and shoes. Everything burned to the ground as a result of a fire caused by ammunition entering their high-rise building.
Most of the apartments were completely destroyed. Windows and doors were broken by the blast wave. Those people, who were there during the occupation, say that the occupiers repeatedly fired at the house with various equipment. And now it is uninhabitable. Oleksandr and his family are forced to rent housing. It is very expensive for them, as they still pay for the education of their 18-year-old daughter Anastasiia, who is studying to become a lawyer at Sumy State University.
