Ludmila and her husband Mykola have been together for 26 years. They practically never part. And they work together on the railway, and spend weekends together. It was the same on that terrible day when they almost lost each other, being in the epicenter when a rocket hit the shopping center "Amstor" in Kremenchuk. It was an ordinary Monday, June 27. Liudmyla and her husband decided to go to the shopping center because the blender broke down. They went to the hardware store, started looking around, choosing... Suddenly there was a terribly loud explosion. Liudmyla was pushed away from her husband and crushed by a heavy piece of metal, which Mykola could not lift for a long time. But in the end he managed.

Something was burning all around them. The couple began to look for a way out through the flames and mountains of metal. It was difficult for them to walk because of injuries, pain, bloodied faces, besides, Mykola was walking barefoot. They were able to get out and call an ambulance, although not on the first try. In the hospital, it turned out that Liudmyla was more injured than it seemed: a concussion, a torn lip, broken ribs and open fractures of her arm. The woman had an operation, two plastics were placed. But there is still a long and very expensive treatment ahead. Mykola was also quite injured, but he is not worried about himself. He says: "I'm a man. I'm strong." Now they dream of going to their son to be together as a whole family. But, of course, they dream of peace.
