Oksana has been in the hospital for four months, but with pain in her eyes she emphasizes that she was lucky. Because four of her colleagues were killed during a rocket attack in the village of Chaplyne in Dnipropetrovsk region. It was the Independence Day. An enemy missile hit the train in which Oksana was working. The woman remembers that when she realized that the carriage, she was in, caught fire, she jumped out of it right onto the tracks. There were other tracks nearby, and she rolled on them until she got to a ditch near the railway.
Now she understands that it was her instinct of self-preservation. But the conductor was still seriously injured. Now she is in the hospital in Lviv. And although doctors describe her condition as stable, they emphasize that she will have to be treated for a long time. And then the woman will need no less long and obviously expensive rehabilitation.
