Yaroslav is the head of the department of social and labor relations and domestic work of the Council of the Trade Union of Railwaymen and Transport Builders of Ukraine. He was mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The war found Yaroslav and his family at home in Kyiv. At 5:20 AM they woke up from the explosions. The man immediately decided to take his wife and children to Borodianka village. Because they thought it would be safe there. Yaroslav himself returned to Kyiv and immediately went to enlist in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At that time, he already had the status of a combatant, because he first went to the front in 2015. Then he was taken to fight only on the 5th attempt. He wanted to defend his homeland so persistently.

And now he dreams of returning to the front just as persistently. On October 30, Yaroslav was seriously injured in the legs in the battles in Luhansk region. He has already undergone five complicated surgeries, implanted an implant, and still has a long rehabilitation ahead. But the man does not lose heart. He suffers only from the fact that there are no relatives nearby, who left the then occupied Borodianka for abroad. And he dreams of recovering soon and returning to the front.
