It was the morning of March 18, when a Russian missile instantly destroyed not only homes, but also the fate of several thousand Kyiv residents. Occupants shelled a residential area in Podil, one person was killed, 19 wounded. The blast wave, debris and fire severely damaged a school, a kindergarten and 6 residential buildings. A family of railway workers lived in one of them. The head of Boryspil station Ihor received this apartment in a five-story Stalinka building from his parents. He lived there since childhood, and later brought his wife there. Step by step, penny by penny they regularly made repairs, kept the house in a tidy condition, and always gladly invited guests.
