Drone Strike: Fundraiser for Medical Treatment and Housing for Serhiy Radu's Family
That morning, Serhiy Mykolayovych was supposed to join his colleagues for a community work day. When he failed to show up and stopped answering his phone, his fellow railway workers grew concerned. They went to his home to check on him – only to find a smoldering ruin.
At 2:30 AM, a Russian "Shahed" drone struck the private house in Reni where Serhiy Radu, a Senior Electromechanician at the Odesa Signaling and Communication Distance, was sleeping with his wife.
They miraculously survived but lost everything. Both are currently hospitalized. Serhiy sustained blast injuries, shrapnel wounds, and a concussion. His wife was also injured and suffered a concussion. Fortunately, both remain conscious. Their supervisors and colleagues are in constant contact with the doctors, providing all possible support to the family.
In a single moment, their entire life – their home, their belongings, and their future plans – turned to ash. A long recovery process lies ahead, yet they have no home to return to after being discharged.
The Iron Family is launching a targeted fundraiser to provide Serhiy and his wife with the necessary medical care and to support them in restoring their home. Every donation right now is not just money; it is our shared support and a signal to them that they are not alone.
