The morning of October 7, 2026, shattered the normal life of our colleagues, Serhii and Svitlana Filonovych, in an instant. Both of them work as station duty officers at the Pryluky railway station of the "Southern Railway" regional branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia".

Around 07:15 AM, an enemy missile struck a five-story residential building in the town of Pryluky, Chernihiv region. The strike completely destroyed two sections of the building and critically damaged two others. The Filonovych family’s two-room apartment (45 sq. m) was located on the third floor of one of the completely destroyed sections.

By a miracle, the family was not at home at the moment of impact—everyone survived. However, in a matter of seconds, they lost all their belongings and their home. Currently, Serhii and Svitlana have found temporary shelter in a dormitory, but they urgently need our help to recover from this blow and return to normal life.

While the parents ensure the safety of train traffic every day, their son Viktor has been defending Ukraine's freedom and independence in the ranks of the Armed Forces since 2024.

This family gives their all for our country—both on the railway and on the front lines. Now it is time for the Iron Family and everyone who cares to stand by them.
