In March 2022, during the occupation of the village of Velyka Dymerka in the Kyiv region, Nadiia Rudenok's family lost everything. Nadiia is a Lead Engineer at Nizhyn station, but at that time, she headed the freight district of Brovary station.

An enemy shell hit her house directly. A fire broke out, destroying the home almost completely.

In an instant, the family was left without a roof over their heads, without property, and without means of subsistence. They were forced to live wherever they could, in total despair, realizing they could not restore the destroyed home on their own.

In this hardest moment, the "Iron Family" program provided support. Nadiia Oleksiivna received financial assistance that allowed them to take the first but most important steps toward rebuilding. With the allocated funds, the family was able to install vital stove heating to bring warmth back to the house, as well as purchase drywall, slate, and new doors.

The Rudenok family is sincerely grateful to their colleagues for their concern and mercy. The support of "Iron Family" gave the footing needed to start restoring life on their native land.
