Lydmila OSIPOVA
On September 8, 2026, the railway family of the Dnipro region and all of Ukraine suffered a painful and irreparable loss. At the Vilyansk station, as a result of an enemy drone strike on suburban train No. 861 running from Dnipro to Zaporizhzhia, the conductor of the passenger car, Lyudmyla Mykolaivna Osypova, tragically lost her life.
Lyudmyla Mykolaivna was born on July 23, 1961, in the city of Yenakiieve in Donetsk region. She consciously tied her fate to the steel tracks, dedicating 18 years of her life to railway transport. Working as a conductor on local trains for the production structural unit "Dnipro Motor Car Depot" of the "Suburban Passenger Company" branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," she daily provided passengers with attention, comfort, and care.
In the depot's team, Lyudmyla Mykolaivna is remembered as an exceptionally disciplined, diligent, and responsible employee who flawlessly performed her duties. She was a sincere and friendly colleague, whose experience and professional culture earned the genuine respect of her fellow train crew members.
On that tragic day, September 8, after the enemy strike on the train, an evacuation of passengers and staff was organized. Lyudmyla Mykolaivna remained at her post in the rear car of the train until the last moment, fulfilling her duty as a railway worker. She sustained injuries that were incompatible with life.
In her civilian life, Lyudmyla Mykolaivna was the guardian of her family, a loving mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her caring daughter Natalia, son Oleksandr, and grandchildren.
The team of the production structural unit "Dnipro Motor Car Depot" of the "Suburban Passenger Company" branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" expresses its deepest and most sincere condolences to her daughter, son, grandchildren, and all relatives, friends, and colleagues of Lyudmyla Osypova.
We bow our heads in sorrow in memory of our colleague. She will forever remain in our hearts as a model of dedication to her work and civil courage.
