Mykola Lypchenko
Mykola Mykolaiovych Lypchenko, a marksman of the paramilitary guard and a brave defender of Ukraine, passed away on January 15, 2026. His life was cut short in a hospital in Lviv after a long and selfless struggle by doctors to save him. Mykola Mykolaiovych sustained multiple mine-explosive injuries while carrying out a combat mission in the Myropil district of the Sumy region.
Since childhood, Mykola dreamed of tying his fate to the railway. In 2006, he successfully graduated from the Kharkiv Railway Transport Technical School and that same year began working in the shooting and fire brigade at the Trostyanets-Smorodine station. He dedicated nearly 20 years of his life to this profession, rising to the rank of a marksman of the 4th category in the Poltava paramilitary guard.
Colleagues and comrades will remember him as an exceptionally sincere, kind, and cheerful person. Mykola was always ready to support others with words and deeds, instilling faith and calm in those around him even in the toughest times. His professionalism and integrity earned him deep respect within the team.
On the front lines, Mykola Mykolaiovych proved himself to be a true patriot, defending the sovereignty of the state until his last breath. For his son, he will forever remain an example of honor, courage, and responsibility.
