Oleksandr DOBRYDNIUK
Oleksandr was born in the city of Vinnytsia. After graduating from the Vinnytsia Transport College, he was accepted at the Kyiv Railway Machine Station as an operator of railway construction machinery. He dedicated nearly 15 years of his life to the railway. In 2012, he graduated from the Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport (mechanical engineer) through distance learning, but continued to work at the Kyiv Center for Mechanization of Track Works, a branch of the Center for Repair and Operation of Track Machines, as a 6th grade operator of railway construction machinery.
At the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, on February 28, 2022, Oleksandr took up arms to defend his homeland. He had a deferment, but voluntarily joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleksandr said, "I cannot sleep peacefully while the Ukrainian people are being killed." He was wholeheartedly devoted to Ukraine and fully immersed in his duty. He never complained about anything, always supported the fighting spirit, and inspired all his comrades.
33-year-old Oleksandr Dobrydniuk died on April 17, 2022. He sustained severe injuries near the village of Novoselivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Unfortunately, the doctors could not save the soldier's life.
Oleksandr is survived by his mother.
The team at the Kyiv Center for Mechanization of Track Works, a branch of the Center for Repair and Operation of Track Machines of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," deeply mourns the loss of their colleague, Oleksandr Dobrydniuk. He was a highly qualified operator who, despite having a deferment, volunteered for the Armed Forces because he "could not sleep peacefully." Oleksandr was an example of courage, always uplifting the fighting spirit of his comrades. Eternal memory to the Hero!
