Ukrzaliznytsia's loyalty program featuring "Obiymashky" (hugs) bonuses has been active since 2023. Passengers accumulate them for every trip and can exchange them for discounts and gifts from partners. This year, "Obiymashky" also became a way to support railway workers and their families.

Ahead of Railway Worker's Day, Oschadbank, Mastercard, and Ukrzaliznytsia teamed up to launch the "My Gratitude.My Country" campaign, inviting Ukrainians to exchange their "Obiymashky" for charitable assistance:

·       Ukrainians donated their "Obiymashky" in the "Charity" section of the Ukrzaliznytsia app;

·       Oschadbank and Mastercard converted them into hryvnias (UAH);

·       The funds were directed to Ukrzaliznytsia's charitable platform, the Iron Family, to support railway workers and their families.

Thousands of Ukrainians joined the initiative, taking the opportunity to thank those who connect people and cities across the country every day, restore damaged tracks, continue their routes, and evacuate our fellow citizens despite the danger.

Thanks to the active participation and generosity of 39,492 app users, we successfully reached our goal of collecting 1,000,000 UAH to support railway workers and their families.

The Iron Family will direct these funds towards the urgent needs of railway workers: restoring homes damaged by shelling, assisting those who have lost their homes, and providing medical treatment after injuries. You can track the fundraisers and reports on the Iron Family website.
