Veterans of the "Suburban Passenger Company" Met in Kyiv
Recently, employees of the Suburban Passenger Company — veterans of both the current war and the Afghan war — met in a friendly and warm atmosphere to talk, exchange experiences, and support each other.
At the beginning of the event, the "Iron Hero" (Rank I) award was presented to Andrii Niedoruiev, a duty officer at the Lyman Motor Wagon Depot. During a massive Shahed drone attack on the depot this spring, he organized and ensured the timely evacuation of 12 railway workers to a shelter. Furthermore, thanks to his decisive actions, equipment was preserved, and the continuity of suburban railway service was maintained.

During the meeting, veterans had the opportunity to speak with branch management, trade union representatives, and the Veterans Council of the Fastiv-1 Motor Wagon Depot.
Later, participants attended a motivational and educational webinar hosted by the "Yak ty, brate?" ("How are you, brother?") Charity Foundation. The discussion focused on mental health, adaptation after returning from war, and the importance of mutual support.
After the official part, a cultural and sports program followed:
-
Veterans visited our renovated Loko Choko stadium, where they participated in sports master classes and volleyball games.

-
They toured the incredible Ukraine WOW exhibition at the Central Station, dedicated to the strength and invincibility of Ukrainians.

The event served as a great opportunity for informal communication, reconnecting, and supporting one another. Because the Iron Family is always by your side.
Together on the same track
Even a small action matters for a big cause.
