Konstyantin Sharapov
The Kryvyi Rih railway community has lost a legend of its team, a wise mentor, and a brave defender of Ukraine. Kostiantyn Fedorovych was born in the city of Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region and dedicated his entire professional life to his homeland and the steel railways.
In January 1990, Kostyantin Fedorovych joined the Kryvyi Rih locomotive depot and remained loyal to this enterprise until his last day. He devoted over 36 years to diligent work in railway transport, progressing from a mechanic and assistant engineer to an experienced electric locomotive driver. Colleagues remember him as an exceptionally enthusiastic, disciplined, and responsible worker. For many generations of railway workers, he was not just a colleague but a reliable friend and an outstanding mentor who generously shared his experience with the youth.
In October 2022, Kostyantin Fedorovych took up arms to defend his homeland, being called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine during mobilization. At the front, he proved to be a model of courage, endurance, and dedication, bravely resisting the occupiers at the most challenging frontlines.
On May 14, 2026, during combat operations aimed at ensuring national security and defense, Kostyantin Fedorovych was killed. He gave his life for the freedom of Ukraine, fulfilling his military duty until the end.
Patriotism and bravery are inseparable traits of this family. His loving wife and son Volodymyr, who today continues his father's legacy by serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and defending our land, are left behind.
The team at the Kryvyi Rih locomotive depot of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" expresses its deepest condolences to Kostyantin Fedorovych's family and loved ones. We bow our heads in honor of our colleague, the Driver, and his son, the Defender. The bright memory of a remarkable person and a true Hero will forever live in our hearts.
Honor to our Hero!
