Maxim FOMIN

Mykola Oleksiyovych was born and raised in the city of Mykolaiv. His life was inextricably linked to the railway, to which he dedicated 18 years of his work, professionalism, and devotion:

2006 — he began his career as a 5th-grade locksmith for rolling stock repair at the Mykolaiv locomotive depot.

2009 — he continued his work as an assistant locomotive driver.

Since October 2014 — he worked as a locomotive driver, demonstrating high professionalism, diligence, and responsibility.

On August 6, 2026, Mykola Oleksiyovych's life was tragically cut short while performing his official duties. He died in the Dnipropetrovsk region as a result of a cynical strike by an enemy ballistic missile on the Erastivka station.

Colleagues knew Mykola as a kind, sincere, and reliable person who was always ready to support, help, and share responsibility in any situation. His hard work, humanity, and dedication to his profession will forever remain in the memory of all who had the honor of working alongside him.

The team at the Mykolaiv locomotive depot expresses its deepest and sincerest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased. Together with the family, railway workers share the pain of this irreparable loss and bow their heads in deep sorrow.
