Ksenia ZHYRNA

On June 12, 2026, while performing her duties, Kseniia Zhyrna sustained severe injuries following a drone strike on the control post of the Tereshchenska station in the Konotop region. She was urgently hospitalized at the Shostka Central District Hospital, where she tragically passed away from her wounds.

Kseniia was born on March 15, 1993, in the town of Voronizh, Sumy region. In 2013, she joined the great Iron Family, beginning her professional journey as a control post operator at the Tereshchenska station of the Konotop Railway Transportation Directorate.

It is hard to find words that can convey the pain of this loss. Kseniia was a person with a big heart and an inexhaustible thirst for life. She knew how to find joy in simple things, deeply loved her family, and gave her loved ones endless warmth and care. Cooking held a special place in her life—she loved preparing meals for her family, putting a piece of her soul into every dish.

To her family, she was a loving daughter, a devoted wife, and the best mother. To her colleagues, she was a responsible professional and a kind friend. Her premature passing is a heavy loss for everyone who had the honor of working and communicating with her.

Kseniia is survived by her parents, her husband, her son, and her daughter. This irreparable loss will resonate with deep pain in the hearts of her relatives, loved ones, and colleagues.
