Andriy NOVIKOV
Andriy was born in the city of Ekibastuz in Kazakhstan, but in 2002 he moved to Ukraine and joined the railway family. He progressed from a train assembler to a dispatcher at the Zvyagel I railway station in the Korosten region of the South-Western Railway.
Colleagues remember him as a dedicated, disciplined, and responsible worker with a great sense of humor. His energy and enthusiasm inspired the team, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand.
On June 16, 2023, a year and a half after the onset of the invasion, Andriy joined the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. During his service, he kept in touch with his colleagues and dreamed of a happy, peaceful life with his beloved wife.
Andriy, the dispatcher at the railway station, was killed on January 18, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission in the Donetsk direction, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Andriy is survived by his wife and daughter.
The team of the Korosten region of the station service of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows their heads in deep, sorrowful mourning for Andriy. His courage, determination, and ultimate sacrifice will forever be a symbol of honor. Eternal memory to our colleague and Hero!
