Ihor Zozulya

Ihor was born in the village of Kirovsk, Krasnolymansky district, Donetsk region. He began his working journey in 1992 as a tractor driver at the collective farm "Zorya."

In 2016, he joined the railway family, becoming a shooter on the cargo and facility protection team at the Lyman station of the regional branch "Donetsk Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." After dedicating 10 years of his life to the railway, Ihor earned deep respect among his colleagues. He is remembered as:

A responsible, proactive, and diligent worker;

A friendly, calm, and sincere person;

A reliable comrade who was always ready to help.

On June 6, 2023, Ihor took up arms to defend Ukraine and its people. Serving as a senior sergeant in the 5th Territorial Defense Battalion (military unit A7036), he bravely defended his homeland, giving a worthy response to the enemy.

His comrades will forever remember him as a courageous, dependable battle buddy with a big and open heart.

On July 13, 2026, Ihor was killed in the combat zone near the settlement of Ambarne in the Kharkiv region, remaining true to his military oath and Ukraine until the end.

Ihor is survived by his daughter. For all who knew him, he will always be remembered as a cheerful, kind, and bright man.

The team of the regional branch "Donetsk Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" expresses sincere condolences to his family and loved ones. Ihor's heroism will forever remain in our hearts as an example of true patriotism, courage, and self-sacrifice.
