Maxim NIKOLENKO
Maxim Andriyovych Nikolenko was born on November 1, 1992, in the city of Pomichna, Kirovohrad region, where he lived with his family.
In April 2015, he began working on the railway as a 3rd category trackman in the production unit of the track service "Track Distance at Odesa-Sortuvальна Station" of the regional branch "Odesa Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia."
On November 20, 2022, he voluntarily went to the military enlistment office, deciding to become a volunteer. During his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he served as a private in an infantry brigade.
Maxim Andriyovych Nikolenko was killed on September 5, 2024, as a result of shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation. On September 12, 2023, Maxim's mother, Valentyna Mykhailivna Nikolenko, received a notification informing the family of her son's death.
Maxim established himself in the team as a hardworking, determined, and diligent employee.
Maxim's colleagues recall: "Maxim was a very kind person; he constantly talked about his family, called them every 5 minutes, and missed them. Maxim was a good worker; often, after completing his own tasks, he hurried to help older colleagues, showing great respect for their age and experience."
Daughters Daryna and Iryna say: "Dad was always a hero; the war just revealed that to those around him. He played interesting games with us, taught us to read and draw, and we had many adventures and fun moments together."
After his death, Maxim Nikolenko is survived by two minor daughters: Iryna, born in 2015, and Daryna, born in 2013. Maxim's daughters miss their father dearly; they spent a lot of time together reading, riding bikes, cooking new interesting dishes, and inventing fairy tales and stories. Maxim often took his daughters on hikes in the forest, and the girls remember those times with bright smiles.
The team at the Track Distance of Odesa-Sortuvальна Station is deeply saddened and expresses sincere condolences to the family and loved ones regarding this irreparable loss. The bright memory of our beloved colleague and brave Hero, who gave his life for Ukraine, will forever remain in our hearts. Eternal glory!
