Mykola TATARENKO
Mykola Tatarenko was born in Dnipro and graduated from a local school. In January 2018, he joined the railway family, becoming a shooter in the railway's militarized security. He worked as a 4th-grade shooter in the team responsible for the security of facilities and administrative buildings at the Dnipro production unit of the "Dnipro Militarized Security Detachment," a branch of the "Departmental Militarized Security" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." He dedicated nearly 7 years of his life to the railway.
In May 2024, Mykola was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and defended the independence of our country until his last breath.
Mykola was killed on December 11, 2024, while protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during a combat mission in Kharkiv region.
By the decree of the President of Ukraine, for his personal courage and selfless actions in defense of the state sovereignty, Mykola Vadymovych Tatarenko was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.
Colleagues remember him as a reliable friend and a true professional. He was the soul of the team, always ready to help, and earned the respect and authority among his peers.
Mykola is survived by his wife, Tetiana, and son, Danilo, while his parents are left without their beloved son. We express our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones.
