Oleksandr Shatov
Oleksandr was born in the village of Voskresenivka, Vasylkiv District, Dnipropetrovsk Region. After graduating from the Dnipropetrovsk Vocational Railway Transport College, he joined the railway family on September 27, 2018, becoming an assistant driver of suburban and passenger electric trains in the locomotive operation division of the "Dnipro Motor Car Depot" branch of the "Suburban Passenger Company" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." Oleksandr dedicated about 6 years to the railway.
On September 28, 2021, Oleksandr was released for military service and signed a contract. He served as a driver in the 1st section of the automotive platoon of the combat and material support company.
Oleksandr died on June 25, 2025, as a result of a traffic accident.
Friends and colleagues respected and valued him as a skilled professional worker and as a strong-willed person who was not afraid of difficulties and did not bow his head in the face of adversity. He was brave, courageous, and resolute. Oleksandr dreamed of the end of the war and returning home and to work as soon as possible, aspiring to become a train driver. He believed that he would fulfill his civic duty and that Ukraine would be strong and free.
Oleksandr Shatov is survived by his sister. We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
