Sergiy Marunyč

Serhiy Petrovych Marunychev was born on May 31, 1977, in the village of Nenadykha, Tetiiv District, Kyiv Oblast. In 2001, he graduated from the National Transport University with a degree in "Internal Combustion Engines." He worked as the deputy head of the economic department at the branch "Central Communication Station" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia."

Unfortunately, on September 30, 2025, Serhiy Petrovych passed away prematurely after battling a severe illness that resulted from his military service.

From the very first day of the full-scale invasion, February 24, 2022, Serhiy joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was an example of courage and dedication for his comrades. He bravely defended his homeland and gave a worthy resistance to the occupiers. Serhiy Petrovych was someone who kept his word and maintained discipline, someone who gave his heart to his comrades and to Ukraine. Colleagues remember him as a reliable friend and a true professional.

We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Serhiy is survived by his wife and two daughters.
