Vadym Laktіonov

In August 1994, Vadym began working as a deputy assistant driver of an electric locomotive at the Pavlohrad branch of the Synelnykove locomotive depot. From May 1998, he served as a locomotive driver at the reverse locomotive depot in Pavlohrad, part of the "Synelnykove locomotive depot" structural unit of the regional branch "Pridniprovskaya Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." He dedicated 31 years to the railway.

Vadim tragically lost his life while performing his duties on July 18, 2025, due to a drone strike on the cabin of the electric locomotive at the Aromatna station in the village of Morozivske, Pavlohrad district, Dnipropetrovsk region.

Vadim was a true professional and a reliable friend, always ready to help in the toughest times. An experienced mentor to the youth, his colleagues speak of him with great respect. He actively participated in the life of the team and improved his professional skills every day.

Vadim is survived by his wife and son. We express our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones.
