Yevhen Ovcharuk

Yevhen Ovcharuk was born in the town of Hubkinsky, Tyumen region. He worked as a 5th category electric gas welder at the Zhmerinka signaling and communication distance of the regional branch of the "South-Western Railway."

In February 2022, Yevhen was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Without hesitation, he took up arms to defend his country, serving as a machine gunner in the 2nd infantry squad of the 2nd infantry platoon.

Soldier Yevhen Ovcharuk was killed on May 23, 2024, near the village of Terny in the Donetsk region. He sustained injuries from an artillery shelling that were incompatible with life. He was 31 years old.

Colleagues knew Yevhen as a talented and diligent worker who professionally fulfilled the tasks assigned to him. They also remember him as a kind, sincere, and decent person who dreamed of a happy family life.

The deceased is survived by his wife, mother, and sister.
