Yevhen OLEFIRENKO
Yevhenii was born on January 1, 1985, in the city of Znamianka, Kirovohrad region. He graduated from Znamianka Secondary School. He obtained his professional education at the Kharkiv State Academy of Railway Transport, where he specialized as an electromechanical engineer and assistant locomotive driver.
His work experience was connected with the production unit of the Znamianka Locomotive Depot of the regional branch "Odesa Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," where he worked as an assistant locomotive driver. He dedicated 21 years to the railway.
Yevhenii decided to defend Ukraine on April 16, 2024.
However, six months later, on September 24, 2024, he was fatally wounded while performing combat missions in Donetsk.
Yevhenii is survived by a large family: a wife, a son, and a daughter.
The team at the Znamianka Locomotive Depot deeply mourns this irreparable loss. May the bright memory of our colleague and Hero, who gave his life for Ukraine, forever remain in our hearts. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague and hero!
