Meeting with Yevhen Babkin, Released from Captivity
Ukrzaliznytsia always awaits the return of its colleague-defenders from captivity. Every reunion is special, filled with sincere emotion, gratitude, and support.
Recently, representatives of the Social Policy Department and the Regional Branch "Donetsk Railway" visited our colleague Yevhen Babkin, who returned from enemy captivity on October 2.
Yevhen worked as a Substation Maintenance Electrician at the Volnovakha Power Supply Division. In 2017, he was released from work duties to serve in the military, and in 2022, he was taken prisoner. After long months of trials that turned into years, Yevhen has finally returned home.
He is currently undergoing rehabilitation. His wife Maryna and their two daughters are by his side, motivating and inspiring him every day.
Ukrzaliznytsia representatives visited Yevhen to support him on his road to recovery, thank him for his courage and resilience, and present a gift. We look forward to his return to the team — the Iron Family is always by his side.
We stay in touch with every railway veteran and provide all necessary assistance within the framework of Ukrzaliznytsia's veteran policy.
Together on the same track
Even a small action matters for a big cause.
