Serhiy VIRCHICH

Serhiy Mykhailovych was born on February 7, 1955, in the village of Krasnohrigorivka in Dnipropetrovsk region. His life journey was an example of hard work, dedication to his chosen profession, and boundless love for people.

He dedicated over 20 years of his life to the railway, working in the production unit "Chaplynska Workshop" of the "Enerhoremtrans" branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." Starting in 2004 as a 3rd category locksmith, through perseverance and professionalism, Serhiy Mykhailovych became a highly skilled 5th category specialist. Colleagues valued him as an honest, responsible, and highly qualified worker who always diligently fulfilled his duties and was a reliable support for the entire unit.

Serhiy Mykhailovych was a person of extraordinary spirit—sincere, kind, and cheerful. In addition to his professional skills, he had a vibrant creative talent: he performed at the local cultural center and was passionate about singing and humor. His performances always brought joy to those around him, and his presence created a warm and friendly atmosphere in the team. He knew how to support others with words and song, remaining for many not just a colleague, but a true and loyal friend.

A tragedy occurred on March 23, 2026, in the town of Chaplyne: an enemy strike from an FPV drone took the peace of a civilian. Serhiy Mykhailovych sustained severe shrapnel wounds. Doctors at Mechnikov Hospital in Dnipro fought for his life for three days, but on March 26, 2026, the heart of the railway worker stopped forever.

Serhiy Mykhailovych is survived by his wife and two sons. The family lost a caring head of the household, while the town and the railway lost a bright person who brought goodness into this world.
