Artem FILIUK

Artem lived in Zdolbuniv in the Rivne region. He worked as a track installer in the Rivne railway division. In 2019, he exchanged his work uniform for military attire: he enlisted for mandatory service and soon signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, serving in the 14th Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great.

Artem defended the state in Donetsk and later in Kharkiv regions. In October 2022, during his leave, he married his beloved Olena and promised his wife that he would definitely return.

27-year-old Artem Filiuk was killed on November 12, 2022, as a result of enemy shelling near the settlement of Berestove in the Kharkiv region.

The greatest pain: two months after his death, his son was born, whom he dreamed of naming Maksym. Artem's comrades and volunteers met the mother and newborn at the maternity hospital.

Artem was buried in his hometown of Zdolbuniv.

The team of the Rivne railway division of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the memory of their young colleague with deep sorrow and pain. His interrupted life, unfulfilled promises, and the tragic birth of his son Maksym after his death are the price of freedom paid by his family. We will preserve the memory of his sacrifice for the future of his son. Eternal memory and honor to the Hero!
