Bohdan HRIZDAK

Bogdan Ivanovych was born on February 10, 1999, in the picturesque village of Perekhresne in the Verkhovyna district of Ivano-Frankivsk region. In 2022, he joined the large railway family, starting his career as a 3rd class repair locksmith for rolling stock at the wagon rearrangement point in Vadul-Siret, part of the operational wagon depot "Klepariv" of the regional branch "Lviv Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia."

Despite his young age, Bogdan proved to be an exceptionally responsible, diligent, and dedicated worker. Due to his honesty, hard work, and sincerity, he quickly earned undeniable authority and respect among his colleagues.

On January 26, 2023, Bogdan traded civilian work for military uniform and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served on the front lines as a scout in the 2nd reconnaissance section of the reconnaissance platoon of the 3rd mechanized battalion of military unit A0501, bravely carrying out complex tasks in the hottest spots of the Bakhmut district in Donetsk region.

In March 2023, during another combat mission in the vicinity of the settlement of Kromove in the Bakhmut district, communication with the soldier was lost, and he was considered missing in action. Searches continued for over three years. By court decision, Hryzidak Bogdan Ivanovych was officially declared dead during direct participation in combat actions to defend his homeland.

In civilian life, Bogdan was a cheerful, sincere, and joyful young man who loved God, his native land, and Ukraine above all. He was building plans for the future, a reliable support, a loving son and husband, and a loyal and dependable friend.

He is survived by his parents and wife.

The team of the operational wagon depot "Klepariv" of the regional branch "Lviv Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" expresses its deepest and most sincere condolences to Bogdan Hryzidak's wife, parents, relatives, friends, and comrades.
