Ivan CHERNENKO

Ivan was born in the village of Novoborysivka in the Odesa region. He had a higher legal education (Odesa Law Institute). He was open, sincere, curious, and passionate about sports (football, strength sports). He dedicated six years of his life to the railway. He worked as an electromechanic for the contact network in the first group section of the Podilsk Electric Supply Division.

On the third day of the full-scale invasion, February 25, 2022, Ivan took up arms to defend Ukraine. He diligently and honestly fulfilled his duties, demonstrating courage, dedication to his homeland, and true love for his people.

36-year-old Ivan Oleksandrovych Chernenko was killed on January 2, 2023, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Pisky in the Donetsk region. He will forever be 37.

Colleagues remember Ivan as a spirited, disciplined, and responsible worker with a great sense of humor. His mentor, Yurii Tustanovskyi, noted that Ivan quickly earned respect and was always ready to help his colleagues.

He is survived by his parents, wife, son, and young daughter.

The team of the Podilsk Electric Supply Division of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows its heads in deep sorrow in memory of their colleague. His courage, dedication, and the immense loss for his wife and young children is a pain we will never forget. Honor to our colleague and Hero!
