Mykhailo BADYDA

Mykhailo Mykhailovych worked as a train speed regulator at the Chop station. Despite being exempt from service due to his age (he was over 50), in June 2022, he voluntarily went to the front. His colleagues knew him as a sincere, open-hearted person and a true patriot who deeply loved his family and homeland.

He served as a senior soldier in the infantry company, responsibly and skillfully carrying out combat missions on the front lines of Donetsk. For over a year, his fate was unknown. Only in April 2024 did an examination confirm the death of the Hero.

54-year-old senior soldier Mykhailo Badyda (call sign "Shtereha") was killed on February 3, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Ivanivske close to Bakhmut.

The team at Chop station of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the memory of Mykhailo Badida with deep sorrow. His sincere patriotism and indomitable will serve as an example for every railway worker. Eternal memory to the defender of the homeland!
