Oleksandr UBOZHENKO
Oleksandr was born in the village of Kyrykivka, Sumy region. He graduated from the Kharkiv Railway Transport College. He began his 17-year career in the railway industry as a mechanic, and since 2019, he worked as a locomotive engineer at the Osnova Locomotive Depot of the Southern Railway regional branch.
On April 22, 2022, Oleksandr took up arms to defend Ukraine.
45-year-old Oleksandr died a heroic death on November 22, 2022, in battles in the Luhansk region.
Colleagues remember Oleksandr as a very kind, balanced, and calm person who was always ready to help and had an excellent understanding of the train environment. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, reading books, and doing home repairs. After the war, he planned to return to his team.
Oleksandr is survived by his wife, son, and daughter.
The team at the Osnova Locomotive Depot of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns the memory of their colleague with profound sorrow. His courage, professionalism, and unfulfilled dream of returning to work remind us of the price paid for the freedom of his children. Eternal Glory to the Hero!
