Roman POHULYAY
Roman was born in the village of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi. In 2012, he graduated from the Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport with a degree in "Industrial and Civil Engineering." He began his career in the railway sector in 2005 as an electric gas welder. He joined the team of the Kupiansk Signal and Communication Distance in December 2021, becoming an electromechanic in the "Train Radio Communication and ALSN" workshop.
He tragically lost his life on November 26, 2022, in the village of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, Kharkiv region. His life was cut short by the explosion of a shell that detonated nearby as he was exiting his vehicle.
During his time at work, he established himself as a disciplined and responsible employee who diligently fulfilled his duties and was always ready to assist his colleagues. He is remembered as a reliable friend.
The team of the Kupiansk Signal and Communication Distance of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns this irreparable loss. His peaceful life was brutally interrupted at the moment he exited his vehicle. This is yet another painful reminder of the price paid by civilian railway workers in frontline areas. Eternal memory and honor to our colleague.
