Serhiy FOMENKO
Serhiy was born in the urban-type settlement of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi in the Kharkiv region. In 2004, he joined the railway, where he progressed from a repair mechanic for rolling stock to an electric locomotive driver at the Kupiansk Locomotive Depot.
39-year-old Serhiy tragically lost his life on November 24, 2022, due to injuries that were incompatible with life.
Colleagues remember him as a responsible and disciplined worker. Serhiy was a caring and loving father, considering his daughters to be the greatest treasure in his life. In his free time, he enjoyed wood carving.
Serhiy is survived by his wife and daughters Emma and Stella.
The team at the Kupiansk Locomotive Depot of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" mourns deeply alongside Serhiy's family. Our electric locomotive driver, who was a dedicated professional and a caring father to his daughters, has tragically passed away. His love for family, passion for wood carving, and the bright memory of him will forever remain in our hearts.
