Stanislav Shuba
Stanislav was born in the village of Zaytseve in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In 2014, after completing his mandatory military service, he gained combat experience in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). Upon returning, following in his father's footsteps, he began working as a trackman at the Pavlohrad railway division in September 2018.
He was sociable, friendly, diligent in his work, and had plans for the future. The war changed everything: as a combatant, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the second day of the invasion, February 25, 2022.
Stanislav served as a reconnaissance sapper in the engineering reconnaissance unit. Since the beginning of the war, he had defused hundreds of mines left by the enemy. During one of his missions, he defused 14 anti-tank mines, but encountered a cunning booby trap that took his life.
28-year-old Senior Soldier Stanislav Shuba was killed on November 25, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Beryslav in the Kherson region.
Stanislav is survived by his mother, Olena Anatoliyivna, father, Yuriy Hryhorovych, and younger sisters, Viktoriya, Ksenia, and Natalia.
The team at the Pavlohrad railway division of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their colleague with indescribable pride and deep sorrow. Our trackman, a friendly and diligent young man, a veteran of the ATO, went to the front in the first week of the invasion. His courage, dedication, and selfless work as a sapper represent the highest measure of sacrifice. Eternal memory and honor to the Hero!
