Vasyl MOROZOV
Vasyl Anatoliyovych was born on September 11, 1975, in the city of Donetsk. He found his professional calling at a young age and forever linked his fate with steel tracks. In 1997, he joined the Znamyanka locomotive depot as an assistant driver of an electric locomotive. Due to his high sense of responsibility, deep knowledge, and professional growth, by 2001, Vasyl Anatoliyovych took his place at the controls of the locomotive, becoming the driver of the electric locomotive in the operational department of the "Znamyanka Locomotive Depot," a branch of the "Locomotive Company" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia."
For nearly three decades—28 years—Vasyl Anatoliyovych devoted himself impeccably to railway transport. Colleagues and management knew him as an exceptionally diligent, highly skilled, and reliable specialist. In the depot, he was valued for his sincerity, kindness, and readiness to lend a helping hand, offer advice, or share responsibility during challenging trips. His humanity, dedication to his work, and high work ethic became an example for many generations of young railway workers.
On August 13, 2026, while performing his official duties in the Odesa region, Vasyl Anatoliyovych's life was tragically cut short due to enemy shelling—a strike by a reactive UAV on the station of Buyalyk. He died at his workplace, remaining true to his profession and country until his last breath.
Vasyl Anatoliyovych is survived by a loving family, who were his main support and pride: his wife Olena and two daughters—Yevheniya and Veronika.
The team of the "Znamyanka Locomotive Depot" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" expresses its deepest and most sincere condolences to his wife Olena, daughters Yevheniya and Veronika, and all relatives and friends of Vasyl Morozov. We share this indescribable pain and bow our heads in deep sorrow. The bright memory of this labor hero and devoted railway worker will forever live in our hearts.
Eternal memory to our railway hero.
