Volodymyr HAVKA
Volodymyr Vasylovych Havka, a veteran of the Klesiv quarry and a brave defender of Ukraine, died on July 12, 2023, while defending the sovereignty of our state. The life of the Hero was cut short during a combat mission in the fierce Bakhmut direction. For a long time, Volodymyr Vasylovych was considered missing in action, leaving his family and colleagues in painful hope; however, it was later officially confirmed that the warrior had fought his last battle. He was 56 years old.
Volodymyr was born on March 10, 1967, in the village of Puhach, Sarny district, Rivne region. His journey in the "iron family" began in 2000. For 25 years and 6 months, he diligently worked as a conveyor operator of the 4th category in the production unit of the "Klesiv Quarry."
Professional and Active Citizen
Volodymyr Vasylovych was a person with a clear life stance and a compassionate heart.
Colleagues remember him as an exceptionally dedicated, disciplined, and responsible worker. He was a kind and polite person whose wonderful sense of humor helped overcome any difficulties. He was respected for his sincerity and unwavering readiness to help everyone.
Volodymyr was not only a professional but also an active member of the community, serving on the executive committee. He was a true patriot who demonstrated his love for his homeland through actions, not just words.
For Volodymyr, the fight for Ukraine's freedom began back in 2014 when he first took up arms to defend the state. With the onset of full-scale aggression, he could not remain indifferent and donned military uniform again on May 10, 2022.
He consciously chose the path of a defender, honorably serving in the military and remaining faithful to his oath until his last breath.
His courage and indomitable spirit became an example for his comrades. He fought for every inch of Ukrainian land in one of the most challenging sectors of the front.
For his family, Volodymyr was a reliable support; for his colleagues, a loyal friend; and for Ukraine, a devoted son who gave his all.
Volodymyr Vasylovych is survived by a sister.
The team of the production unit "Klesiv Quarry" and the branch "Center for Industrial Management" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" bows its heads in deep sorrow and great respect in memory of their colleague.
