Andrii Plotnykov
On October 9, 2026, during the cleanup efforts following the morning enemy shelling of the Zaytseve station, Andriy Volodymyrovych Plotnikov, the deputy head of the "Nizhny Dnipro Electric Supply Distance" of the regional branch "Dniprovsk Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," tragically lost his life. He fell at the railway post while restoring power and traffic on the tracks damaged by the occupiers.
Andriy Volodymyrovych was born on November 20, 1981, in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. He began his career with steel railways in March 2001 as a 4th category contact network electrician in the Zaporizhzhia-Left contact network area.
Over 25 years of dedicated work, Andriy Plotnikov made an impressive professional journey from an ordinary worker to a senior manager. He worked as a site foreman in the energy installation train No. 1, headed the contact network area in Pavlohrad, and since June 2018, served as the deputy head of the Nizhny Dnipro Electric Supply Distance.
His high professionalism, leadership qualities, and impeccable service were repeatedly recognized with industry awards: a Certificate of Honor from the State Administration of Railway Transport of Ukraine (2012), the badge "Excellence in Electrification" (2018), the "Railway Glory" III degree, and the award letter "Iron Heroes" II rank (2026).
Colleagues remember Andriy Volodymyrovych as a person of exceptional responsibility, a wise and demanding leader who was always present in the most challenging areas and confirmed his achievements by personal example.

His heroism, professional legacy, and dedication to his work will forever remain a model for future generations.
