Artem LEVCHUK

Artem Yevheniyovych was born on February 2, 1985, in the city of Bakhmach, Chernihiv region. He grew up in a loving family, instilling in him the values of mutual respect, honor, and true friendship from a young age.

For over 14 years of his life, Artem Yevheniyovych dedicated himself to the railway transport sector. In 2011, he began his career as a 2nd grade carpenter at the "Passenger Car Depot of Bakhmach Station," a branch of the "Passenger Company" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." Thanks to his high professional skills, hard work, and responsibility, he later advanced to the position of a 5th grade carpenter. Colleagues remember him as a cheerful, energetic, and exceptionally diligent person, with a kind heart and truly golden hands capable of handling tasks of any complexity.

In January 2023, Artem was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the front, he took on the responsible role of a sergeant major—commander of an engineering-sapper platoon. A brave and decisive commander, he did not hesitate to undertake the most dangerous tasks, caring for the safety of his comrades and defending his homeland from invaders.

On July 14, 2025, during a combat mission in the Dnipropetrovsk direction, communication with the soldier was lost due to enemy shelling with unidentified munitions. For an entire year, his family, comrades, and colleagues lived with a heavy hope, but in August 2026, as a result of identification, came the terrible confirmation: Artem Yevheniyovych had died in that battle, remaining true to his military oath until his last breath.

For Artem, the freedom and independence of Ukraine were greater than his own life. In civilian life, he was a reliable support for his family, a loving father, and a caring son. He is survived by his parents and child.

The team at the "Passenger Car Depot of Bakhmach Station," a branch of the "Passenger Company" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," along with the entire railway family, express their deepest and most sincere condolences to Artem Levchuk's parents, child, and all his relatives and friends.

We share this searing pain, bow our heads in deep sorrow, and pay our respects for the magnificent feat of our colleague. The bright memory of Artem Yevheniyovych will forever live in our hearts.
