Eduard Bilyi

On July 26, 2026, near the village of Mykolaypillya in the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region, during a combat mission, the railway worker, track master, and defender of Ukraine, Eduard Volodymyrovych Bilyi, was killed. He was 36 years old.

Eduard was born in the village of Novopillya in Kryvorizhzhia. He received his education at the Industrial Vocational College of Kryvyi Rih National University and began his career on the railway as a track fitter in July 2012.

He was a self-made man. Over 14 years at the Kryvyi Rih track distance of the regional branch "Pridniprovsk Railway," he rose from an ordinary worker to a foreman, and since October 2020, he served as a track master. Colleagues remember him as a determined leader who cared for his team, was eager to learn, easily connected with people, and valued railway personnel above all.

"He was in his element," recalls track fitter Valerii Sevryukov. "He persistently pursued his goals, brought people together, and tackled any production and everyday issues. When the full-scale war began, he volunteered, saying, 'Don't bother to reserve me.'"

Since March 28, 2022, Eduard Bilyi defended the country in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In civilian life, he was a man with "golden hands"—he repaired everything at home, understood cars and motorcycles, and enjoyed football and fishing. His wife, Yevheniya, remembers him as an exceptionally sincere and straightforward man who enveloped his family in love, raised her daughter as his own, and dreamed of a child together.

The fallen hero is survived by his mother, wife, and daughter.
