Mykhailo KLYMOVSKYI

The railway hub of Znamianka and the entire family of the Odesa Railway have lost a dedicated specialist, a brave warrior, and a sincere comrade. In fierce battles for Ukraine's independence near Bakhmut, the life of contact network electrician Mykhailo Serhiyovych Klimovskyi was cut short.

Mykhailo was born in the city of Znamianka in Kirovohrad Oblast. He took his first step towards a railway profession in 2008 by enrolling in the Znamianka Electric Supply Distance. After mastering his profession at the local Railway Vocational School No. 12, he diligently cared for the operation of the contact network.

After a break, in 2023, Mykhailo returned to his native enterprise—the production unit "Znamianka Electric Supply Distance" of the regional branch "Odesa Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." In total, he dedicated 6 years of his life to the railway industry. Colleagues remember him as an exceptionally kind, disciplined, and self-demanding person. His subtle sense of humor, responsibility, and readiness to help at any moment made him a reliable support for the entire team.

On December 26, 2023, Mykhailo joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As part of mechanized units, he passed through the hottest sections of the front. His comrades knew him as an exceptionally brave and composed fighter who maintained courage and self-control even in the toughest combat situations.

On December 20, 2025, during a combat mission near the city of Bakhmut in Donetsk Oblast, Mykhailo Klimovskyi was killed, remaining true to his Oath and the Ukrainian people. In a few days, he would have turned 38...

The defender is survived by his mother.

The team of the Znamianka Electric Supply Distance of the regional branch "Odesa Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" expresses its deepest condolences to Mykhailo's mother, relatives, friends, and comrades.

We bow our heads in sorrow before the heroism of our colleague. His contribution to the safety of Ukraine and the bright memory of him will live on in our hearts.
