Oleg YAHODKA

Oleg Vasylovych Yahodka was an electromechanic at the traction substation of the Teteriv station, part of the Kyiv Electric Supply Distance of the regional branch "South-Western Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia."

He was born in the city of Korosten in the Zhytomyr region.

He dedicated 16 years of his life to the railway (joining the railway family in 2017).

He died on July 31, 2026, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during an attack by an FPV drone in the village of Yastrubshchyna in the Sumy region, sustaining injuries incompatible with life.

From the first days of the full-scale invasion (February 26, 2022), Oleg joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He served in the 12th Support Brigade as a squad commander.

He held the call sign "Moryachok."

2023 — badge "For Service and Valor" of the I degree.

2024 — "Honorary Badge."

2024 — award "For Diligent Service."

Colleagues remember Oleg as a kind, responsible, balanced, sincere, decisive, and hardworking professional. He always showed initiative, was persistent, did not lose composure in the face of difficulties, and was capable of independently solving complex production tasks.

Oleg is survived by his parents, wife, and children.
