Serhiy Mykhailovych Biloshapka, an experienced railway worker and devoted warrior, died on January 22, 2026, defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The life of the Hero was cut short while performing a combat mission in the vicinity of the village of Kyrychkove in the Synelnykove district of Dnipropetrovsk region. He was 56 years old.

Serhiy Mykhailovych was born on December 5, 1969, in the village of Dobrovillya in Kharkiv region. He began his journey in the "iron family" in 2003, dedicating over 22 years of diligent work to the Volnovakha railway distance. As a 4th category trackman, he was a reliable specialist whose hands ensured the safety of movement on the challenging sections of the Donetsk railway.

On July 9, 2024, Serhiy Mykhailovych joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, exchanging his work tools for a weapon to protect the future of his country. He served as a soldier in the security unit of the engineering support battalion.

For Serhiy Mykhailovych, the greatest value was always his family. He was a loving husband and father who longed for peace for his loved ones above all else.

For his colleagues, Serhiy Mykhailovych will forever be remembered as a model of calmness and composure.

He never backed down from difficulties, maintaining clarity of mind in any situation.

Serhiy was a man of his word and action, always ready to support young colleagues with advice or help a friend in their work.

Serhiy Mykhailovych is survived by his wife and son.

The team of the Volnovakha railway distance of the regional branch of "Donetsk Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" expresses its deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of our colleague. We have lost a patriot whose dedication to Ukraine knew no bounds. His heroism will forever remain a source of strength and pride for future generations of railway workers.
