Sergiy SHTEPA

Serhiy Anatoliyovych Shtepa was born in the village of Tarasivka, Hrebinky District, Poltava Region. After graduating from the local school, he worked in his specialty. From July 2016, he held the position of a locksmith for emergency recovery work of the 4th category in the water supply section of the Hrebinka station, part of the production structural unit "Kharkiv Directorate" of the branch "Center for Construction and Installation Works and Operation of Buildings and Structures" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia." He worked on the railway for about 8 years.

In February 2022, he was called up to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country. After demobilization in May 2024, he returned to civilian life, but was re-mobilized in January 2025. He held a combatant certificate.

On May 7, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the settlement of Khrapivshchyna in Sumy Region, Senior Soldier Serhiy Shtepa was killed as a result of an enemy strike by an FPV drone on his vehicle.

During his work, he established himself as a responsible, communicative, and diligent employee. He was well-versed in his field and earned the respect of his colleagues and superiors.

Serhiy is survived by his mother, sister, wife, and young son, Tymofiy.
