Volodymyr Avdienko
Volodymyr was born in the city of Sloviansk, Donetsk region. In 2000, after graduating from the railway transport technical school, he began working at the Sloviansk locomotive depot. He served as a senior foreman in the section for the current repair of locomotives. He dedicated 21 years of his life to the railways.
Volodymyr Mykolaiovych Avdienko's life tragically ended on July 3, 2022 (the date is approximate, as it is provided following the previous one) due to enemy shelling in the city of Sloviansk. At that time, Volodymyr Mykolaiovych was at home in his own yard.
Colleagues remember him as a fair, reliable leader and colleague, a true professional. His achievements were recognized with a Certificate of Honor from Ukrzaliznytsia (2014) and the badge of "Excellence in Locomotive Management" (2016). After the onset of the full-scale invasion, he did not evacuate and remained working in Sloviansk.
Volodymyr Mykolaiovych loved his family dearly, was passionate about football, and participated in local and railway competitions.
After his death, he is survived by his wife and two sons.
The team at the Sloviansk locomotive depot of the regional branch "Donetsk Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" shares the pain of this irreparable loss with Volodymyr Mykolaiovych's family. The senior foreman, whose high qualifications were recognized with the badge of "Excellence in Locomotive Management," stayed in Sloviansk to support the depot's operations. Volodymyr's professionalism and unwavering loyalty to Sloviansk will remain an unforgettable chapter in our team's history.
