Anatoliy Zhila
Anatoliy was born in the village of Drabove-Baryatynske in the Cherkasy region. Since September 2019, he joined the Cherkasy railway distance (Odesa Railway) as a trackman.
His colleagues remember him with special warmth: he never shied away from difficulties at work.
The soul of the team: always cheerful, with a great sense of humor, he knew how to connect with everyone. A reliable specialist, his discipline and responsibility were his defining traits.
On October 23, 2025, Anatoliy joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a driver in the first assault regiment. At the front, he proved himself to be a resilient and brave warrior.
His last battle took place in April 2026 in the Zaporizhzhia direction near the settlement of Novomykolaivka. While carrying out a combat mission to save the lives of his comrades, he was blown up by a mine. Until his last breath, Anatoliy remained faithful to his oath and his friends.
Above all, Anatoliy loved his family. For his wife and two daughters, he was a strong support, a caring father, and the best friend. His openness and willingness to help everyone leave a bright mark in the memory of all who knew him.
“He went into battle to save others, leaving us an example of boundless courage and a sincere heart.”
The team at the Cherkasy railway distance bows their heads in honor of their colleague's heroism. We share the pain of loss with Anatoliy's wife, daughters, and loved ones.
