Andriy Kozhanov
Andriy was born in the city of Znamianka, Kirovohrad region. He obtained a qualification as a lathe-miller and later studied materials processing on machines and automatic lines at a polytechnic college through distance learning.
In December 2016, he joined the iron family, working for 5 years as a 4th category shooter in the team of the militarized security of Znamianka station. Colleagues remember him as an enthusiastic, disciplined, and responsible worker with a great sense of humor. Andriy managed to complete his tasks while also helping his colleagues.
Andriy was a veteran of the ATO/JFO. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, on March 2, 2022, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the infantry, where he was an example of courage and dedication for his comrades. He was a loving husband and father.
Andriy Kozhanov was killed on May 11, 2022, while performing a combat mission in temporarily occupied territories, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Andriy is survived by his loving wife and two daughters, and he recently welcomed a grandson.
The team of the Znamianka militarized security unit of the "Departmental Militarized Security" branch of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" honors the memory of their shooter. This veteran and dedicated worker, known for his great sense of humor, bravely fell while defending the country's sovereignty. His courage and commitment to family values are a testament to resilience. Eternal glory to the Hero!
