Artem Chertovskyi

Artem was born in the village of Voskresenka in the Zaporizhzhia region. In November 2018, he began working for the railway as a wagon inspector-repairman at the Zaporizhzhia-Live wagon depot. His wife, Natalia, recalls that he loved his job and dreamed of renovating their purchased house and traveling a lot. Artem was very fond of his eight-year-old son, Kyrylo, and dedicated all his free time to him.

On December 12, 2022, Artem took up arms to defend his homeland, joining the ranks of the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade. He served as an operator of the anti-tank guided missile platoon.

30-year-old Artem Chertovskyi was killed on June 26, 2023, during combat near the village of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.

For his courage and bravery, he was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.

Artem is survived by his wife Natalia and son Kyrylo, as well as three brothers and two sisters.
