Denys LETKO

Denys was born in Kharkiv, Kharkiv Oblast. From November 15, 2008, to May 31, 2011, he studied at the children's railway "Mala Pivdenna." In 2015, he graduated from the Kharkiv College of Transport Technologies. In 2018, he graduated from the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport. While studying in his fourth year at the state higher educational institution, he began working on the railway in October 2014 as a duty officer at the Kharkiv-Sorting railway station of the "Kharkiv Directorate of Railway Transportation." He dedicated over 8 years to the railway.

Denys died on April 4, 2022, in Kharkiv. After finishing his shift, Denys was heading to the bus stop. At that moment, an airstrike hit a neighboring enterprise near the railway, resulting in injuries that were incompatible with life.

His mother, Yuliya, remembers him as a person who dedicated his life to the railway. He was a caring and loving son.

The staff of the Kharkiv-Sorting railway station of the "Kharkiv Directorate of Railway Transportation" of the regional branch "Southern Railway" of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" deeply mourns the tragic loss of their colleague, Denys. The bright memory of our colleague will forever remain in our hearts.
