Dmytro Lozovitskyi
Dmytro Antonovych Lozovitskyi, head of the fire train unit, died on October 30, 2023, near the village of Oleksandrivka in the Stanislav community of the Kherson region. He sustained a fatal injury as a result of the detonation of an enemy strike drone.
Dmytro was born in Mykolaiv. He graduated from Mykolaiv National University named after V. Sukhomlynskyi with a degree in theoretical and applied mechanics. He joined the railway in 2021, where he worked as the head of the fire train unit at the Mykolaiv station in the Odessa military security detachment.
Colleagues remember him as a responsible, diligent, and proactive worker, intelligent, brave, talented, and very positive. Dmytro was constantly learning, reading a lot, and earned the respect of his team.
On March 16, 2022, Dmytro volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He demonstrated exceptional courage and selflessness, going where others feared to tread, and even developed a mini air defense system that helped destroy enemy drones and protect the Kherson region.

For his heroism, Dmytro Lozovitskyi was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree (December 1, 2023) and the Combatant's Cross badge (June 18, 2024).
Dmytro is survived by his wife and son Kyrylo, as well as his parents.
